About the Artist
I was born in Kendal and grew up in Staveley in the Lake District.
I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.
In 1993 I studied at Cumbria College of Art and Design in Carlisle.
I completed a BTEC National Diploma in Foundation Studies in
Art and Design. In 1994 I attended Bath College of Higher Education
where I studied towards a BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design,
specialising in Illustration. I now live in Leominster in Herefordshire
and I am a member of the Ludlow Art Society. I have sold many
of my art works and work on a semi professional basis as an
Artist and Illustrator. I sell paintings and glasswork via my
website and exhibitions. I am happy to undertake commissions
for those of you who are looking for something more personal.
Please feel free to look around the gallery and I hope you enjoy
it!
My inspirations
A single painting, light, depth, texture and perspective are
all things which enchant and inspire me. I admire the work of
David Hockney and the way in which Jim Dine’s etching
images are built up by layers and layers of lines.
